Today you will visit El Nicho park in the lush Sierra del Escambray, about 60 km from Cienfuegos. It is an easy walk of a kilometer long, that crosses the forest and some formations of waterfalls and lagoons. At the end of the trail, you have the opportunity to take a refreshing swim in these crystalline waters.
The area is also known for its abundance of bird species.
